The Story Behind the Structure

The Summers Organization is a private family enterprise based in Jacksonville, Florida — built across commercial real estate, timberland and agriculture, private capital, digital assets, and philanthropy. It is structured as a family office: not a fund, not a public company, not a joint venture. The decisions and the capital are the family’s.

We own what we build. Every vertical is built to be operated directly — real estate held for the long term, timberland on a 25-year horizon, lending from the family balance sheet. We do not manage outside capital, and we do not optimize for liquidity. The structure is designed to compound across decades, not quarters.

The work is concentrated in North Florida and the Southeast — the markets we know, the contractors we trust, and the communities we are part of. That proximity is not incidental. It is the foundation of how we underwrite, how we operate, and how we hold what we own.
